Welcome to Algood Middle School, home of the Redskins. Located in Putnam County, Tennessee, Algood Middle School is a 5-8 school serving the students of the Algood community and Putnam County. The school board voted on Thursday evening to change the school calendar for Putnam county students to attend school on Monday, February 15, 2010 (Presidents' Day). This is intended as a snow makeup day in advance of the possibility of more than 13 days of closures. If we do not utilize all of the 13 allowable stockpile days, the board will designate one day in May as our "Presidents' Day".

4 1/2 week progress reports will go home on February 18. As always, you may also check your child's grades on-line. If you have lost your log-in information, please contact the school via telephone.

Monday, February 22nd: Parent Orientation for rising ninth graders- CHS Auditorium @ 6:30 pm. (Student attendance not necessary.) Students interested in IBO information will be meeting in the Lecture Hall shortly after the presentation.

Thursday, February 25th: Counselors will visit Algood Middle School to provide registration materials to the students.

After 8:00 A.M., all of the side doors in the school building will be locked. If you wish to visit the school, please come through the front door and sign in at the office. The front door is the door visible in the banner at the top of this page. A visitor parking lot is available near the front door.
